On March 12, 2024, was organized by the OSCE, in Vienna, the meeting of the informal working group on cyber security. This meeting brought together high representatives of the countries of the Western Balkans, who discussed the commitments undertaken in the implementation of confidence building measures (CBM) in the field of cyber security.
The National Authority on Electronic Certification and Cyber Security (NAECCS) was represented by Mrs. Irma Droboniku, Deputy. General Director/Director in the Directorate of Certification, Policies and Cyber Security Legislation, as well as Ms. Arjona Bello, Head of Cyber Security Policy and Legal Affairs Sector.
The reporting included the concrete steps undertaken by Albania regarding the strengthening of cyber security in the country, which include:
1.Improving the legal framework “On cyber security”
2. Strengthening of technological capacities – establishment of the National Security Operational Center
3. Albania’s membership in international forums (FIRST)
Also, Albania expressed readiness to implement other confidence building measures (CBM). This includes the commitment to the exchange of information in the field of cyber security at the international level.
